  • Server and file migrations to the cloud
  • Azure Virtual Desktop and hosted applications
  • Secure file sharing and remote access
  • Email protection and cloud backup

Honest advice

Cloud, on-premises or a mix of both

Not everything belongs in the cloud, and anyone who tells you otherwise probably isn’t looking at your business closely. Some specialized software, large design files or equipment on your shop floor still work best on-site.

We start by understanding how your team works, then recommend the right mix. For many GTA businesses, that means moving email, files and collaboration to Microsoft 365, hosting key applications in Microsoft Azure and keeping only what truly needs to stay in the office.

  • Work from anywhere: secure access from any approved device
  • Less hardware: fewer servers to buy, power and replace
  • Built-in resilience: no single office server to fail
  • Scale easily: add or remove users as your team changes
Good candidates for the cloudWhere most businesses start
  • Email, calendars and contacts
  • Shared files and documents
  • Apps with cloud versions available
  • Ageing servers due for replacement
  • Teams with hybrid or remote staff

MFA, sensible sharing settings and, on plans that include it, conditional access from day one.

Properly backed up

Independent backups of your cloud data, because version history isn’t a backup.

Costs under control

Regular reviews to remove unused licences and right-size cloud resources.

Users supported

Frequently asked questions

Is the cloud secure?

Major cloud platforms such as Microsoft 365 and Azure invest heavily in security, but your configuration matters just as much. Most cloud breaches come from weak passwords, missing MFA or overly open sharing settings, which is exactly what we lock down.

Will we still need a server in the office?

Many businesses can retire their office servers entirely. Others keep one for specialized software or equipment. We’ll recommend what makes sense after reviewing how your applications work.

How long does a cloud migration take?

A small office moving email and files to Microsoft 365 can often be completed in a few weeks. Larger projects involving servers and applications take longer. Your plan will include a realistic timeline before any work starts.

Do you sell Microsoft 365 licences?

Licences are provided through our partner VoiHost. Data Trust Co manages and secures your Microsoft 365 environment day to day. Learn about licensing options.

Where is our data stored?

Microsoft 365 tenants created in Canada generally store core customer data in Canadian data centres. We can confirm where your data lives and help you choose locations that meet your privacy obligations.

What happens if our internet goes down?

Files you keep on your device remain available offline, and changes sync once you’re back online. For businesses that rely heavily on the cloud, we recommend a backup internet connection or dedicated business fibre.
